Dry Needling

Our PTs have extensive experience performing trigger point dry needling. Including, shoulder and elbow pain as well as for baseball players and athletes involved in throwing sports.

What is Dry Needling?

Dry Needling is a technique that releases taut bands of tension in muscles. It helps muscles recover from injury and reduces pain. Often, it will eliminate symptoms in tight muscles altogether. This treatment is most effective when combined with a comprehensive physical therapy program that identifies and targets the root of the problem. Dry needling can also help baseball players and throwing athletes recover faster from shoulder and elbow injuries.

How it Works

This popular treatment involves inserting a tiny monofilament needle into a muscle or muscles to release shortened bands of tension and decrease trigger point activity. This incredibly effective and popular treatment can help resolve pain and muscle tension in baseball players and throwing athletes. It can also promote healing and speed up recovery from shoulder and elbow injuries.

Effectiveness

Think of the needle as an extension of the therapist’s hands into muscles that can’t be reached. For baseball players and throwing athletes, this can be an incredibly effective technique to facilitate healing from throwing-related injuries.

Success Stories

I saw Lee and he was awesome. He helped unlock some major trigger points in the muscles of my rotator cuff that have been nagging me for months with dry needling. The procedure will make you drool for sure. I recommend this highly for anyone who has deep muscle tightness issues. I was nervous at first, but it was amazing. Lee was really good. He was professional and did exactly what I needed. He also equipped me with some specific mobility movements to help prevent this type of issue.
